New Celtic Mondays Series Unveiled at St. Kieran Arts Center!

Berlin - In a special hands-across the border partnership with Skye Theatre in Carthage, Maine, St. Kieran Arts Center is proud to announce that it will host a new Celtic Mondays Mini-Series beginning on Monday July 26th and continuing each Monday night in August at 7 PM. Bringing in top international bands in Irish, Scottish, and Franco traditions, the series will link to selected Maine Celtic Tour partners, and be a first of its kind in New Hampshire.

“We are grateful to Phill McIntyre, Director of Skye Theatre for including St. Kieran Arts Center as part of Skye’s dynamic outreach programming. We are excited to offer such an exciting series for the community and to visitors to the region. If you loved our past performances of Grand Derangement, Josie Vachon and most recently Gadelle, you won’t want to miss a single show!” states Arts Center Director, Joan Chamberlain.

The new mini-series complements and expands the Art Center’s Main Stage Series. Tickets prices will vary per event. They will be $12 for four of the shows, $15 for the Clancy Legacy, and $20 for the Acadian band Vishten. As a special thank you to our faithful and supportive members, all performances will be discounted $2.00 for current St. Kieran Arts Center members showing their season ticket at the door.

The series opens with CELTIC SPRING on July 26 AT 7 PM: the champion fiddling and step-dancing family phenomenon who were popular favorites and the runners up on the TV show America’s Got Talent. This family of eight performs traditional Irish music. Tickets are $12. ($10/members)

DAVE CARROLL BAND: Monday, August 2 at 7 PM This U-tube and TV guest personality brings together a blend of pop/folk musical styles with brilliant vocals and sweet musicianship. $12.00 ($10/ St. K members)

THE CLANCY LEGACY: Monday, August 9 at 7 PM Aoife Clancy, Robbie O’Connell, and Donal Clancy proudly carry on their families’ rich Irish music heritage. $15.00 ($13 St. K. members)

POGEY: Monday August 16 -7 PM – A high octane, fully interactive stage band with the “Nova Scotia Sound” on fiddle, mandolin, guitar drums, and four-part harmony. $12.00($10/members)

CELTIC COLOURS SHOWCASE: Monday, August 23 - 7 PM –The best young and upcoming talent selected from Cape Breton Island’s most popular annual Celtic Festival! Singing, fiddling and step dancing with Colin Grant, Dawn & Margie Beaton, Jason Roach with Chrissy Crowley, Rachel Davis, Darren McMulle. $12.00 ($10 St. K. members)

VISHTEN: Monday, August 30-7 PM The best of new-traditional Acadian music, sung in French & celebrated with an array traditional instruments. $20.00 ($18/St. K. members)

Programs at St. Kieran Arts Center are made possible by private donations, memberships, sponsorships and in part by grants from the NH State Council on the Arts, NH American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, National Endowment for the Arts, and the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation/North Country Region.
